<p>Many people&#8217;s experiences tell us that we must keep on working. To be thin is not the final goal we have pursued. What we want is to keep this slim figure as long as possible. To be honest, no one can be successful forever. Sometimes, we need to compromise with something necessary. For example, with the help of P90X, we have made our dream come true. However, at the some time, we have to say goodbye to those delicious but high-energy food. We have to sacrifice some of our time to take the training to preserve the effect we have gotten.</p>
<p>Generally speaking, our life is full of deals. Sometimes, we have to learn to exchange to get what we want. The key point in this deal is whether the effect we get deserves the effort we have paid out. This is also a kind of lesson we have learnt from many others.</p>
<p>For many people who have ever lost weight by doing exercise, they must have a theory about losing weight, which are the lessons or experience about losing weight. So it is also an achievement for you in losing weight. And failure is not afraid and the important thing is that you can learn lessons from your failure and next time you will never make the same mistakes.</p>
<p>Every one has one or two worries in mind. The only differences lie in our different feelings and the importance of that matter. If you pay much attention and determination to it, then you can learn a lot, I&#8217;m sure.</p>

<p>The best diets for gout are those that can trim your waistline while keeping in mind that there are some foods that you must eat and others that you must avoid to help prevent a gout attack.  You will need to dedicate yourself to gout &#8220;friendly&#8221; foods in portions that will allow you to shrink your waistline as well as build in enough time for the appropriate levels of activity.</p>
<p>&#13;The best diets for gout feature foods that are generally low in purines as these foods raise the body&#8217;s uric acid levels which can lead to a painful gout attack.  Eating foods containing purines, as well as drinking excessive alcohol can cause uric acid to build up in the joints. Beer, specifically, is considered to be among the worst food choices for gout sufferers.  </p>
<p>&#13;If you want to make sure that you&#8217;re following the &#8216;best&#8217; diet for gout, then try putting the following tips into action:</p>
<p>&#13;- Make sure that you drink between two and three liters (around eight &#8211; 10 8-ounce glasses) of water every day.  This is vital for diluting the uric acids that have been produced in your body and encouraging quicker elimination.</p>
<p>&#13;- Limit your intake of fat and fatty foods as they can encourage uric acid production in your body.  Also this will help with weight loss.</p>
<p>&#13;-  As already mentioned, it is important to avoid eating foods that are high in purine. </p>
<p>&#13;- Aim to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight.  This will decrease your risk of a gout attack, make it easier to exercise, and give you more energy overall. </p>
<p>&#13;- Avoid fad diets and those that are high in protein, particularly animal protein.  A high-protein diet can aggravate symptoms of gout.  </p>
<p>&#13;- Low-fat dairy products and tofu are good substitutes for the nutrients you usually receive from meats and full fat dairy products.</p>
<p>&#13;Of course, after hearing about eating &#8220;low purines&#8221; so often in order to prevent gout, you might be wondering exactly what these mysterious purines are, and how to cut them from your diet.</p>
<p>&#13;Generally speaking, foods that are high in purines are organ meats, fatty meats, and shellfish.  Specifically, foods very high in purines include sardines, mussels, sweetbreads, and yeast.  More foods that are also high in purines are mutton, anchovies, bacon, scallops, and pheasant.  </p>
<p>&#13;On the other hands, foods that are considered to be low in purines, and therefore are good to include in gout diet are: fruits, low fat dairy products, eggs and green vegetables. These also have the added benefit of being foods low in fat, with the exception of eggs. However, you can&#8217;t live off these ingredients alone.  </p>
<p>&#13;A well balanced diet for gout sufferers should be low in saturated fats and higher in complex carbohydrates, which are useful for gout prevention and give you a feeling of &#8220;fullness&#8221;.  They can also be good for keeping your body weight down as long as you watch your portion sizes. Even better, they&#8217;re generally high in minerals, vitamins, and fiber.</p>
<p>&#13;Add foods such as cereals, rice, and pasta to your gout diet, and include foods with unsaturated fats that may be good for your uric acid levels. Unsaturated fats can be found in olive oil, nuts and avocados.  </p>
<p>&#13;Now that you understand what goes into the best diets for gout, you&#8217;re ready to create your own and get it started.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ll make this as short as possible. I was diagnosed with Depression many years ago. Instead of doctors testing my hormones, blood sugar or anything at all, they told me that my depression was genetic and that I didn&#8217;t produce something (they didn&#8217;t tell me what at the time) and that I&#8217;d have to take medicine for the rest of my life. I was after all &#8220;like a diabetic who needs insulin&#8221;.</p>
<p>That is when the real problems began.</p>
<p>I recall feeling paranoid and crying even more after taking antidepressants than I did before taking them. What did that prove? Hummm that I needed them of course.</p>
<p>Years later after being on antidepressants for so long I reeked of chemicals, and had gained 35 or 40 pounds. Now that I could not sleep anymore nor relax, or feel anything and had my left retina blow out and had holes in my right retina due to the amount of chemicals I had ingested over a decade and a half, I finally found out the answer to WHY I was depressed in the 1st place.</p>
<p>It took watching a health program on Family Net. A show called &#8220;Your Health&#8221;. At the time the host was Doug Kaufmann.</p>
<p>Doug K. spoke about how long term use of antibiotics can cause IBS, Allergies, and Depression. He gave these illnesses in just that order, and that is exactly my history. Exactly in that order. You see, I had taken antibiotics for acne during my teens and twenties. Lots of them! At 21 or so I was diagnosed with IBS, at 24 or so Allergies, and then at 28 I was diagnosed with Depression.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not sure, but I do believe that I had a combo of things happening to me. I had always had difficult menses and expect that Ive always had hormonal issues, then add the antibiotics which cause yeast overgrowth, and pour toxic chemicals into the blood steam that can affect the brain along with the nutritional deficiency they cause because of the altered bowel flora and I was a mess. Add antidepressant drugs to the mix which cause more hormonal disruptions, and deplete or interfere with the ability to absorb the nutrients from the foods I ate and well you get the picture.</p>
<p>So my advice to anyone suffering from depression is to go to a naturopath who will get to the root cause of your health issues and not just cover them up with drugs.</p>
<p>Coming off antidepressant drugs was one of the most difficult things I&#8217;ve ever done in my life. And all the while doing it, the doctors were telling me that I needed them and had to take them for the rest of my life. But my life was just about over. It was get off of them or die! So I did it without the help of a doctor. Slowly cutting the pills down over a 6 month period and even that was probably to fast.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been off antidepressants for 6 years now. </p>
<p>At the 2 year mark I thought I&#8217;d surely not make it due to the sleeplessness, pain, electric shocks, jitters and other issues I had from taking antidepressants long term. </p>
<p>That is when I found Vibe by Eniva. I credit it with saving my life. It gave me back the nutrients that had been depleted from my body and it allowed me to carry on and to heal. In addition, had I known to address the hormonal issues at the 2 year mark I believe I could have saved myself a lot of healing time.</p>

<p>Many of you have expressed suffering from chronic pain: joints, headaches, backaches, feet problems</p>
<p>What would I do? ALKALIZE! What&#8217;s the easiest way?<br />
Drink a green juice or 2 every day!</p>
<p>You can only eat so many heads of lettuce, &amp; nibble on so many bunches of cilantro a day&#8230;</p>
<p>If you are in pain or are inflamed, alkalization is key!<br />
Fruit energizes the cells; green juices alkalize the tissues.</p>
<p>This won&#8217;t happen overnight! You must be vigilant &amp; patient.<br />
Ideally, partner or team up with others who can support you &amp; vice versa.</p>
<p>e.g., create a Mom &amp; Daughter, or Father &amp; Son GREEN JUICE TEAM!<br />
One of you might have more skills in one area than the other,<br />
but the other has skills that the other one doesn&#8217;t have!</p>
<p>For example, with Krista &amp; I, it&#8217;s always been my role to make all the food for us, as it just comes naturally to me. As Krista has a natural inclination toward anything technological, she effortlessly enjoys taking care of that department for us. (btw, she does vaguely remember preparing some food for me once or twice here and there, but as she can&#8217;t even remember what it was that she might have made, she forgives me for not remembering!) However, she was just telling me earlier today about how she feels she now understands how to make FROM SCRATCH, any signature &#8220;Dan&#8221; raw food juice, smoothie, salad, dip, dressing or treat, just from watching the videos, even though she hasn&#8217;t actually done it yet! <img src='http://www.mygoutadventure.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>OK, so back to the PAIN! &#8230;you could be experiencing it anywhere throughout your body&#8230; your feet (gout), your knees, hips, elbows and/or shoulders, or maybe you suffer from headaches, stomach aches and/or acid reflux. No matter where it is: Alkalize! Drink 1-2 green juices a day, plus enjoy whole fruits and simple leafy green salads with low-fat dressings.</p>
<p>Resistance from Others:<br />
Some of you may be experiencing this from others: Your friends may give you a rough time for eating so healthily, or they may be lightly &#8216;teasing you&#8217; at work (Krista often came home from her old corporate job saying that her colleagues had yet again tried to feed her a cheeseburger!).  It of course also doesn&#8217;t help that many of your friends, family &amp; peers won&#8217;t understand the detoxification symptoms, and so will instead point out that you must be &#8216;sick&#8217; because &#8220;you aren&#8217;t getting enough protein&#8221; or what not.</p>
<p>Instead of meeting them w/ resistance and getting defensive, please try and bite your tongue!  Accept that they just won&#8217;t &#8216;get it,&#8217; at this time, no matter what you say, so don&#8217;t even start to say anything.  As I described in another recent video, simply concentrate on you being a living example of health.  When you come out of the initial more intense detox phase you might experience, with you losing X many pounds within just a few weeks, those who are ready to hear you, will come seek you out and ask you questions.  Today, those people might still be in the &#8216;you need to eat a cheeseburger or you are going to die mindset,&#8217; probably for no other reason than to justify their own unhealthy habits. That&#8217;s right, they could just be plain ol&#8217; jealous of you right now, so want to subconsciously sabotage your healthy efforts.  But don&#8217;t take any of that personally!   And hopefully neither will they. <img src='http://www.mygoutadventure.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Realize that YOU are the one who is SANE, as you actually take care of yourself!  You are feeding &amp; nourishing your cells w/ raw living foods from Mother Nature. Whereas they are standing across the room staring at you w/ a smirk on their face as they drink their Venti Starbucks Coffee, as they oddly enough truly believe that YOU might as well be an alien for consuming something so strange as a green juice! &#8230;and notâ€” oh my goodnessâ€” a coffee, along w/ bacon &amp; eggs!</p>
<p>NEWS FLASH: Somehow this world has everything backwards! If anyone really took the time to pause and reflect for a few moments between what a SAD american diet really IS: e.g., coffee / donut / pastry / eggs / bacon / sausage / pancakes / and/or cereal &amp; milk breakfast, vs. fruits, vegetables, smoothies and juices, then, um&#8230;is it not obvious yet??</p>
<p>Just Remember:<br />
~ Take care of yourself!<br />
~ Focus on fruits and vegetables<br />
~ Don&#8217;t take any negativity expressed by anyone else personally<br />
~ Continue on the path, get support from this community here, and/or from Krista, me and others on Facebook<br />
~ Remember to exercise<br />
~ Try to get to bed around 10PM<br />
(Krista doesn&#8217;t have to follow this rule, haha)<br />
~ Take responsibility to move in a direction of health, because you love and care for yourself!<br />

<p>-Grapefruit is believed to have been an accidental hybrid of the pomelo and orange.</p>
<p>-Grapefruit is a good source of:</p>
<p>Vitamins A, C, B-complex<br />
Fiber<br />
Potassium<br />
Calcium<br />
Folate</p>
<p>-Grapefruit is a great source of antioxidants that may help prevent heart disease and certain cancers.</p>
<p>-Grapefruit contains compounds that have been shown  to help prevent cancer. </p>

Many people don&#8217;t know that there are numerous health risks ociated with being overweight and obese. To get an idea of how big of a danger to your health being overweight is, we&#8217;ll examine some of the possible risks involved.</p>
<p>STROKE AND HEART DISEASE</p>
<p>The number one cause of disability and death among people in the united States is heart disease and stroke. Hypertension is more common among those that are overweight. This condition is one of the major risk factors of heart disease and stroke. Other risk factors of these are triglycerides and increased cholesterol levels which are ociated with obesity.</p>
<p>When you are overweight the heart has to work harder which is a factor in angina and death from a stroke or heart disease. Angina is when the oxygen to the heart is decreased causing a person to experience chest pains. Losing weight will make the heart work better and reduce the risk because the blood pressure and cholesterol levels will decrease along with the fats in the blood stream.</p>
<p>DIABETES:</p>
<p>The most common type of diabetes in the U.S. is Type 2 or non-insulin diabetes. The body has difficulty controlling blood sugar levels with this type of diabetes. There are other things that come with diabetes that are a danger as well. Kidney disease, stroke, blindness and loss of limbs can result from being diabetic. The risk of diabetes is double in those that are overweight. Losing weight can help to keep blood sugar levels under control.</p>
<p>HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE OR HYPERTENSION:</p>
<p>Twenty five percent of adults suffer from hypertension. Maintaining a healthy weight, watching fat and calorie intake, and decreasing alcohol intake can help to control hypertension.</p>
<p>CANCER:</p>
<p>Uterine cancers, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, cancer in the gallbladder, breast and colon cancer are at an increased risk with being overweight. Men that are overweight are more prone to the development of prostate, colon and rectal cancer.</p>
<p>SLEEP APNEA:</p>
<p>A dangerous condition ociated with being overweight is sleep apnea. This condition causes a person to stop breathing briefly while they are sleeping. They will also snore a great deal. The more weight you carry, the higher the the risk of sleep apnea.</p>
<p>Sleep apnea can not only cause tiredness or sleepiness during the day but it can cause the heart to fail as well.</p>
<p>OSTEOARTHRITIS:</p>
<p>Extra weight is put on the joints when you are overweight. The cartilage is worn away when the pressure is increased on these joints.</p>
<p>GOUT:</p>
<p>Those that are overweight are at a higher risk of gout which is the buildup of uric acid in the blood.</p>
<p>GALLBLADDER DISEASE:</p>
<p>Gallstones and gallbladder disease are more prominent in those that are obese.</p>
<p>These are just a few of the things that those who are overweight are at risk for. The chances of developing these risks will decrease if you begin to lose the weight. The easiest way to lose weight is by eating properly, increasing your physical activity, and taking a diet pill that is proven to work.<br />
